Welcome to Shine your Light - The Mantras of Surya Namaskara Part 1
Spiritual ritual has gotten lost in our everyday life. We wake up to the cell phone, computer or the TV news. I am going to teach you a beautiful simple ritual that will give you heightened energy, confidence, vitality and inner strength. It can also allow you to feel your connection to the natural world around you and connect you to your Inner Light, Your Truth!
In this 4 week course, I will teach you the ritual movements of the sun salutation, a full body prayer to the power of the sun. You will get adaptations for your body to make it accessible. Coinciding with the movements, we will be learning simple yet powerful seed syllable mantras from the Tantric tradition. These will blend with our devotion to create a ritual we can offer in the morning as well as the evening to connect us back to our inner light, our source, our Truth.
I will also outline our practice each week to include affirmations, journaling, nature walks and more. Each week we will build on what we are practicing until we have a daily practice that empowers us morning and evening.
Please join me on a journey into the light! Where we will explore the light within us and around us and honor it through a beautiful ritual to the many aspects of the Sun.
Your Instructor
Hi! I'm Miss Lisa and I empower kids and parents to play together and calm down together through yoga. I have been teaching kids yoga for 14 years. (and adult yoga for almost 20 years!) My first kids class was a family yoga class at Wave Hill in the Bronx…very similar to my caregiver & me style library classes for kids 2-5 that I still share today. I taught this class with my daughter, who was 2 at the time, taking it alongside me. Sometimes that was challenging..haha…but I have many wonderful memories with Anya playing yoga in the beautiful gardens of Wave Hill. I have since taught for all age groups in yoga studios, recreation centers, libraries and schools. I am so happy to share yoga with you and your family! I live in NJ with my husband and daughter but love that people can take these classes all over the world. Big bows to you on your path with your little yogi or yogini (female yoga practitioner:)
